Science Question: What would be the dependent and independent variable in this case?

We did a class experiment where we tested different sunscreens. We got UV beads, which change colors in the sunlight, and applied three different sunscreens on three separate beads.

I know that the dependent variable is the part that I change, and the independent variable is the part that changed because of the dependent variable, but I can't figure it out.Science Question: What would be the dependent and independent variable in this case?
You have the two definitions mixed up: the independent variable is the part you change, and the dependent variable is the part that changes as a result. The independent variable is the (x) value on a graph, and the dependent variable is the (y) value. In the above experiment, the independent variable would be the choice of sunscreen, and the dependent variable is the amount of UV light each bead absorbed (or how much color change occurred).Science Question: What would be the dependent and independent variable in this case?
Troy is absolutely correct - if you don't get it then you could visit this site - it'll probably have what you're lookin for although it's a chem site -
