I need to know what the independent and dependent variables are in this experiment...We needed to find out the movement of water across an egg membrane so we soaked an egg in vinegar to dissolve the shell then we soaked it in water to see if it would soak up any of it. The independent variable is what you changed. Given the description of your experiment (one egg used), I'm not seeing what you changed.
If your experiment had involved two eggs, then the independent variable would be whatever you intentionally caused to be different between the two eggs.
The dependent variable is what you measured. In this case, how much water was absorbed.What is the independent variable in this expirement?
independant-water
dependant-how much liquid it obsorbed.....if any.
