The objective of the study was to determine the effect of indoor wall climbing on self-efficacy and self-perceptions of children with special needs. What are the independent and dependent variables of this study?Which is the dependent and which is the independent variable?
The independent variable is the level of activity that the children are subjected to, whether you classify it as none, little, much or go into even more detail than that. The dependent variable, presuming you find a correlation, would be the change in attitudes or behaviours derived from it, i.e. the self efficacy and perceptions you talk about.
Although it seems to me that this is a study that is unlikely to be able to be adequatley simplified to fit into and old fashioned X = Y+1 situation.
