What is the dependent variable and the independent variable of, lead paint is really harmful?

what is a example of dependent variable and independent variable of lead paint really harmful? What is the dependent variable and the independent variable of, lead paint is really harmful?
The independent variable is the one the researcher (you) changes, so it would be the amount of lead.

The dependent variable is the one which "depends" on the independent variable, in that the dependent variable responds to the changes if there is a true "cause-and-effect". In this case, the type or degree of "harm" to a patient. You'd expect that with higher levels of lead, the effects would be more severe.

Hope this isn't an experiment you were planning to carry out yourself.
