Can i draw a graph if the independent variable is a fan setting?

I have the fan setting on the independant variable and the level of transparation (cm) on the dependant variable. What type of graph could i draw, it's not line, i tried..Can i draw a graph if the independent variable is a fan setting?
could it be a correlational study rather than experimental? in which case you would do a scattergram

I don't think fan setting is actually an IV or the trans a DV I suspect you have 2 co-variables

In which case you will only be able to conclude that a correlation occurs between the two variable and will not be able to make claims based on cause and effect as there may be other variable uncontrolled for which could be the cause. Can i draw a graph if the independent variable is a fan setting?
what is fan setting by the way ??
