What is my independent variable & dependent variable?

I am doing a science fair project my questions is "which beach works best" I bought 2 bleaches a dollar store brand one %26amp; Clorox. I bought 2 shirts %26amp; have equally gotten them dirty by placing stains of the same substance on both in the same area. Now I just need to figure our what it my independent variable, dependent variable and my controlled variables. HELP PLEASE!What is my independent variable %26amp; dependent variable?
The independant is the one you change (in this case the bleach)

The dependant is the one that changes as a result of the independant and is the one you measure (in this case how much they were cleaned)

the control variable is the variable that was kept constant (in this case how dirty you made the shirts)What is my independent variable %26amp; dependent variable?
the independant variable is the part that does not change whether or not other factors change. the dependant variable is the factor that changes according to change in other factors

so the independant variables would be your type of shirt, and how dirty the shirt is as well as the amount of bleach used. they need to be the same for both tests so that results are not biased

the dependant variable would be how clean the shirts got from each testWhat is my independent variable %26amp; dependent variable?
The 2 bleaches are the independent variables you are studying. They are independent of the controlled conditions.

The outcome or results are the dependent variables because they depend on the bleach.

The controls are the water you use, the cloth being bleached, and the stain itself. These must be controlled or kept the same so you can compare what the bleaches each do.
