Are children better motivated by rewards or punishment? Independent variable, Dependent variable and constant?

I need constant, independent, and dependent variableAre children better motivated by rewards or punishment? Independent variable, Dependent variable and constant?
By rewards
independent: motivation (rewards vs punishment)
dependent: child's behavior afterwords
control: children who are not given no rewards and no punishments
constant: children should be the same ageAre children better motivated by rewards or punishment? Independent variable, Dependent variable and constant?
Most the time kids are motivated by punishments.

The constant is the kid not wanting to do something (lets say chores) if you threaten to take away there fun games and or hurt them this would be the (dependent variable on what you would do) and the independent would be the result. Some kids are different and there motivated by money and or other stuff however these ones are the outliers
