What is the dependent and independent variable in this experiment?

my question is will people who exercise perform different than people who don't in desert survival ?

In this experiment there will be 5 people who exercise and 5 people who don't. Both groups will be placed in the middle of the desert. The point of this is to determine which one of the groups will survive.

what is the dependent and independent variable? What is the dependent and independent variable in this experiment?
independent: # of people working out or not working out

dependent: how well the groups survive
the independent varible is exercise because it's the variable you're manipulating.

The dependent variable is survival because it's what you are measuring based your independent variable. What is the dependent and independent variable in this experiment?
the independent variable will be the people if i do understand this question correctly, the dependent variable will be the amount of people who survive. Because the amount of people who survive depends on what kind of people they areWhat is the dependent and independent variable in this experiment?
Independent - whether or not the group exercises.

Dependent - The number of people in each group who survive.

I hope you're not literally going to do this experiment. 8-I
